And with shut-off nozzle to avoid the liquid silicone leaking from the nozzle. As the nozzle mostly will leave the silicone injection mold after compressor hold. Then the liquid silicone rubber metering and dosing machine ensure A and B component silicone is mixed with a precise ratio of 1:1. This is very important as it affects a lot on the silicone toe protectors quality.

Main Process of Silicone Toe Manufacturing

2: Open injection mold for the toe protectors:
To manufacture silicone toe protectors, a precise mold is needed to produce the final product’s shape and size. The LSR silicone injection mold, is normally made by steel or aluminum. Just ensures the accuracy can meet the requirement and good for mass production like 24 hours non-stop automatic manufacturing. And the silicone injection molding tooling is with cold to hot runner designed.
3: Silicone Material Preparation:
The next step is find out what kind of liquid silicone rubber (LSR) will be best for the toe pretctor of foot care product. It should be in the right hardness and right color. And try to find out the silicone raw material supplier for your production.
4: Injection Molding Process:
LSR silicone injection molding machines are very important in the silicone toe protector manufacturing process. In this area screw will mix the material again and compress the LSR with a setting pressure. Then it`s injected to the silicone injection mold which mention above step 2.
5: Curing and Cooling:
Once the silicone material is injected into the mold, then it will goes to the curing process. The material is exposed to heat, which triggers a cross-linking reaction, solidifying it and shaping it according to the mold cavity. Carefully controlled curing time and temperature ensure proper curing without compromising the material’s properties.
Simultaneously, the mold is cooled to expedite the curing process and enhance production efficiency. Cooling methods vary and may involve water circulation or air cooling. After curing and cooling, the mold is opened, and the newly formed silicone toe protectors are extracted.
6: Quality Control and Finishing:
We will need to have quality checking after the toe protectors produced by LSR silicone molding machine. Just ensure they meet the designs required standards. The quality control may include but not only with shape deforms, appearance, hardness, with air bubbles or not, etc.
